The Truth Under the Truth
Hello beautiful humans,
I recorded this month’s Lumina Letter so if you prefer, you can hear it in my voice — perfect for a walk, your morning coffee, or a quiet moment to yourself. Listen below xo
Welcome back to the second edition of The Lumina Letter. I am very grateful you are here.
Picture this: you walk into a yoga room, a therapy session, or maybe you’re just sitting around with your friends. One person’s talking about healing, another’s in their transformation era – everyone’s working on being their best self. And yes — we love all of it. But Scorpio energy? She’s that little voice in your head rolling her eyes saying, “Okay sister, I’ve heard you talk about this five different times... now do it.”
Scorpio doesn’t want the concept of growth — she wants the embodiment of it. She’s the energy of get real or get out. Not mean, just honest. It’s that friend who loves you deeply but won’t let you hide behind pretty words or performative healing.
The core lesson during this time is trust. How do we learn trust? By observing things in action. Scorpio doesn’t shame, she just sees what’s real.
Scorpio Season (Oct 23 - Nov 21)
We have left Libra — that airy energy of balance, beauty, and communication — and dove headfirst into Scorpio, a water sign. An invitation to move from thinking to feeling.
Water, like emotion, is a funny thing — soft, powerful, unpredictable. It’s the shower that wakes you up, the glass that nourishes you, the ocean that terrifies and soothes you, the wave that crashes into you just as you’re trying to walk to the shore. Just like the tides, our inner world shifts — some days we float, some days we crash. But every wave brings us closer to what’s real if we let it.
Scorpio is fixed water — deep, committed, and intense. Ruled by Pluto, it’s the energy of death and rebirth, of quiet transformation. It’s the slow unlayering of what’s false, the shedding that happens before the bloom — like a butterfly.
Scorpio also rules intimacy, shared resources, and energetic exchange — all the ways we merge with others and share power. This energy brings awareness to what you’re giving and receiving — in love, time, money, and emotion.
Is my energy being met where I’m offering it?
What does true reciprocity look like for me?
This is the part of Scorpio that’s magnetic — sensual, all-in, ready to connect deeply, but with discernment. The power here doesn’t shout; it hums. It sits quietly inside your body, grounded and alive, reminding you that the most profound change often starts in silence.
Collective Energy
As this energy builds collectively, we start to see ourselves more clearly. The veils thin, and what’s been brewing beneath the surface — in our relationships, emotions, and even the world around us — starts to reveal itself.
The time of year where the world slows down — the light fades earlier, the nights stretch longer. It’s a natural invitation to turn inward.
When truth gets mirrored back, it can make us squirm. But that’s kind of the point. In relationships, Scorpio asks, How honest am I being with myself? Because when we project onto others — when we say, “You’re making me feel this way” — we’ve already given our power away. Scorpio energy calls that out. It says, “Your emotions are yours to tend to.” It’s not cold; it’s self-responsibility.
Where Libra wanted harmony and compromise, Scorpio seeks truth in order to merge. If we can’t look in the same mirror with honesty and depth, we can’t get to that next layer of realness that this energy craves. This is what I’d call the sensual side of Scorpio — the desire to get raw, get naked, mentally and emotionally. This isn’t just the physical, but through all senses of the body. This season may highlight; Is it deep trust that moves me toward another, or is it fear?
The challenge in this season is when we avoid our honesty, our emotional world moves away from intuition and shows up as control. As manipulation. As trying to shape the outcome or manage other people’s reactions. It’s like trying to contain something wild and raw.
Here’s the best analogy I have today — bear with me… If you’ve seen the Fantastic Beasts movie series, think of the obscurial — this being created of repressed emotion, power turned destructive because it wasn’t embodied. That’s Scorpio shadow energy. When our truth — our emotional body — isn’t met or expressed, it turns chaotic, tearing down others in our path. In reality, all we deeply want is to be seen.
When we learn to hold it, feel it, walk with it, embody it. That’s when our emotional power becomes pure magic.
Living in the Energy
Truthfully hard to explain how I embody Scorpio — because it’s the shadow. It’s not tidy or easy. Every day I’m asking, “What am I keeping in the dark today?” And don’t worry, this isn’t turning into my own therapy session… lol. The point isn’t to process it here, but to share how I practice it. How I move with the energy rather than against it.
During this time of “unveiling what’s hidden,” I notice how often I catch myself doing the same patterns and just think, “Oh… that again.” As I shared last month, I have a lot of air in my chart, so staying embodied doesn’t always come easy. But being a Pisces rising brings my intuitive water element — Scorpio season reminds me to ground it, to feel what I’d rather float over.
I’m also in the middle of a Pluto transit (Scorpio’s ruler), which basically means: constant transformation, nonstop plot twists. It’s uncomfortable, and weirdly beautiful. My world keeps flipping upside down, and somehow each time I land a little closer to myself.
I’ve learned to actually listen to my shadow — the messy, scared, “what if” thoughts. They’re not the enemy; they’re the map. They’re what led me deeper into astrology, into purpose, into asking, Who am I, really? It isn’t about mastering it. It’s day-by-day. I check in. I fall back into old patterns. I get up again.
My best practice? Walking or driving with no sound. No music, no podcast, no distraction. There’s something about the rhythm of it that calms me, the privacy to cry or scream if I need too— just me and my shadow talking it out. I’ll catch something heavy and go, “Ah, there you are again.” I don’t fix it. I just notice. Scorpio doesn’t want solutions — it wants awareness.
Practical Shadow Work
This energy can feel intense and foreign because it lives in the dark corners. When you walk into a dark room, your eyes adjust. You start to see what was always there. That’s what this energy does — it helps us see what we’ve been avoiding.
When I feel Scorpio season moving through me, I know it’s time to get real. Sometimes I literally stand in front of the mirror and stare at myself — into my left eye specifically. That’s the feminine, intuitive, reflective side. So lets try it..
look in the mirror. Gaze into your left eye for a few seconds and ask
Is this version of me the truest?
What comes up when I really see myself?
Can I stay with it instead of looking away?
It’s awkward. It’s intense. I know you probably got uncomfortable just reading this — that’s exactly the point. Scorpio doesn’t ask for perfect or frill — it asks for real.
So if things feel heavier or slower right now, that’s okay. You’re not stuck — you’re just being invited inward. Let yourself look. Let yourself feel. Trust that what’s meant to transform will.
When you walk through the dark instead of running from it, the light that returns is clearer, softer, truer — and it’s you.
A Closing Invitation
Until next time, may you move with grace, breathe with intention, and walk in balance.
Let the soul be in harmony with the truth.
