Hello beautiful humans,

Welcome back to the Lumina Letter.

Have you felt a shift in the last few weeks? Scorpio energy can be heavy, moody, and overall just deep. As we have moved out of the secrecy and intensity of Scorpio, the energy joyfully shifts into the open arms of Sagittarius.

As we continue to move from season to season, this is your reminder to not fully let go of the energy we just walked through, but rather ask ourselves: how can we keep the deep internal connection with ourselves?

The scary truth is necessary to guide us, but sometimes we also need to remember — damn, it doesn’t need to be SO serious all the time.

Hint: Remember Libra taught us Balance, and now the energy around us in Sag says, “Life is meant to be LIVED — please get over yourself for a moment and just laugh.”

Sagittarius Season (Nov 22 – December 21)

Sagittarius is a FIRE sign.

The fire element is our internal light, flame, soul, inner child. There are so many ways to reference it, but simply, I’ll use the metaphor that when you are camping or gathering around a campfire, you need to continue to feed the fire — and if you do not, it will go out. The light will be lost. The night will end.

Our fire is our zest for life. It’s the driver of our energy. If the fire is still going, why should we go to bed? When you feel the warmth of the fire against your body, you feel alive.

And as I assume, one of the first things we learn as little humans is fire safety:

“Don’t touch the fire.”
“Keep your distance.”
“Be careful.”

Fire energy carries those same lessons. In its truest form, fire wakes us up — remembering to live, play, be passionate, be driven, be awake to ourselves. But if not tempered, fire can burn really hot — so you may notice an energy of restlessness, stubbornness, quick wit, or spicy remarks.

When we are in a fire energy, there is always an invitation to continue to “cool off.” Otherwise, you may burn yourself… or others to the ground.

Sagittarius is mutable fire. There is an emphasis on freedom and seeking in this energy. Sag says: I want more. I want to be boundless. Let’s explore. This isn’t always a physical pursuit — often it’s an energetic one.

During this time, you may find yourself more open to exploring the deep meaning of life, engaging in more philosophical debates, questioning. Think about the timing with holidays and the many opportunities to engage with people you may not typically see throughout the year. We are having different conversations right now.

Sagittarius energy is holding a container that says: yes please — let’s think different, let’s explore what else there is out there.

I’ll just say it… Sag is simply funny. Not always in the “haha” way, but more in the way of “wow, did he really just say that?” — an audacious feeling. Which can be problematic, but also provoke thought.

During this time, it’s an invitation to return to the question:

Where am I limited in my thoughts?

When was the last time I questioned my own beliefs — not because I need to change them, but rather to explore the why behind them? Can I continue to stay curious?

Collective Energy

Sagittarius carries a beautiful, warm energy that you kind of want to be friends with. There is a curiosity this energy holds, while also feeling safe in it.

The archetype of Sag is the arrow — think about the trajectory of an arrow. Direct. A straight shooter. Always in pursuit of something.

We may feel an itch to travel — not just the world, but our minds. Open a new book. Read more philosophy. Or maybe just say YES to things right now.

Jupiter rules Sagittarius, which brings a robust, boundless feeling to the energy. But without balance, that boundlessness can turn into restlessness. The calling here is to remember balance, remember our truth, and trust ourselves to explore.

Without the combination of those three, Sag can take us to places we maybe don’t want to be. We let the fire get too hot. We get away from our core.

Living in the Energy

Have I felt lighter or more driven recently?

I could say yes to put myself in a good light, but the real answer is that over the last few weeks, I have been down. Walking into Sag, for me, actually looked like slowing down — which felt opposite of what Sag energy calls for.

My body signaled to me: Hello, we need to chill. You need rest. Let your health reboot.

I have a tendency to keep burning the flame — hence the burnout — until my body said, we are done. The day we walked into Sag energy, my energy said, “woah, too much fire — we can’t handle any more,” which is also a lesson in and of itself. Sag doesn’t say move — rather, it says more truth.

During that time, I had time to be in my thoughts. It’s funny — I was stressing that I didn’t have the energy to get my thoughts together for The Lumina Letter, but that is Sag. Sag is a little rambunctious. It’s not structured. It’s not the straight-A student that comes to the task with clarity, grace, and guaranteed completion.

Sag energy is the kid wearing a backpack that isn’t zippered — papers falling out, running to class, maybe not sure where class even is because he’s thinking to himself: this class is pointless… why go to a classroom to learn when I can learn from life?

Chaos isn’t careless — it’s curious.

And so, what else is there to do when you are doing nothing but think?

As I type this up, I’m realizing Sag energy did encompass me. I’ve been exploring living in a different area, which brings thoughts of the collective energy I want to be around. What will that community feel like? Do I want to be surrounded by that mindset?

I am someone who craves open-minded, optimistic, constant-curiosity energy.
Sag. Sag. Sag.

Of course, that’s been my focus the last few weeks.

Practical Application

I challenge you to say yes — even if you don’t want to. Think of it as an experiment, not a commitment. Just choose one day where every interaction is a yes before a no (of course, keep safety in mind).

Set your intention these last few weeks to say: I am going to ask questions. Even if the topic is something you know you don’t align with.

Challenge yourself to not respond with simply fire, but more with Sag — open, curious, reflective. Let another idea penetrate you. Then just sit with it.

Sagittarius reminds us that not all guidance comes from being led — sometimes it comes from wandering. Consider sitting with your thoughts and letting them wander where they want to go.

Write down your values.

What keeps the fire inside of you burning? Have you ever asked yourself that before?

A Closing Invitation:

Sagittarius wants more. The wisdom here is knowing when enough is enough.
Feed the fire — just don’t forget where home is.

Until next time, may you move with grace, breathe with intention, and walk in balance.

Let the soul be in harmony with the truth.

With love,

Shauna
